Cole Smith is a Connecticut-born, classically trained violinist and arranger whose playing blends classical precision with the warmth and freedom of folk traditions. He began violin at the age of nine, performing with the Norwalk Youth Symphony, chamber ensembles, and community music groups that raised funds for local causes.
Cole has toured with Ted Sablay — longtime guitarist and musical director for The Killers — opening for acts including The Wallflowers and Chris Isaak. He has also recorded string arrangements and fiddle solos for TV and film producer Mark Vogel, as well as singer-songwriter Fo Daniels.
Today, Cole is based in Covington, Kentucky, performing widely with pianist Addie as part of their violin–piano duo. Together, they bring a fresh, emotive take on classical, pop, and folk repertoire for weddings, events, and recording clients. Cole also offers custom arrangements and mix-ready violin recordings for artists, producers, and filmmakers worldwide.
